Rick Charlton has been appointed senior vice-president for Western Canada at Colliers Real Estate Management Services (CIGI-T), bringing him back to the company where he launched his career over 30 years ago.

In Charlton’s new role, he has oversight for B.C., Alberta and Manitoba at Colliers.

“If you look closely at his record, you not only see the breadth of Rick’s accomplishments, but a diverse skill set used to achieve it. Rick’s experience will improve our service delivery and drive growth across the western region,” John Duda, president of Colliers REMS, said in a released statement.

Charlton was previously at Adventus Capital Partners for six years, most recently in the dual roles of acting president and CEO.

It was Colliers, however, that provided the original springboard for Charlton’s career, hiring him in 1992 as an agent in the Calgary office of Colliers International.

From there, Charlton progressed to positions at CREIT Management L.P., TrizecHahn Office Properties, Bentall Real Estate Services, Aspen Properties, Sun Life Financial, GWL Realty Advisors (from 2005 to 2007 and then again from 2013 to 2017) and WAM Development Group.
