Michael Carragher joined Firm Capital Corporation (“FCC”) in 2004 as Vice President, Mortgage Investments. He is responsible for the origination and structuring of mortgage investments across Canada including land and development financing, construction financing for residential and commercial projects, first and second mortgages on commercial/investment properties and mezzanine/equity capital.
FCC is the Mortgage Banker for various discretionary lending entities, including, since 1999, the publicly traded MIC, Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (TSX: FC). In 2021, FCC completed $1,050 million in new mortgage financing transactions.
There is a mismatch between home supply and demand and the population boom is contributing to the divide. Therefore, the supply of new homes (rental and owner occupied) in Ontario will likely worsen in the short term.
